Pennant is actively involved within the secondary market for illiquid funds and has been since 2010. We first entered the space by sourcing interest in illiquid and impaired legacy hedge funds for select clients before expanding into additional markets, like private equity funds, real estate funds, and infrastructure funds. Today, Pennant can leverage our internal expertise and expansive network of global institutions to source commitments via the secondary market while entertaining new opportunities from clients.

Pennant is one of the premier Canadian dealers in illiquid products. Our client roster includes multinational groups looking to reallocate capital or small private companies seeking liquidity solutions. Pennant's experienced deal team can offer tailored, client-centric, and personalized experiences for all parties involved in a transaction, thus allocating resources efficiently. From research to integration, Pennant partners with you throughout every step of the transaction.

Pennant offers liquidity and proprietary customized solutions for illiquid investments via our unique in-house platform. ALLISON TAYLOR
Chief Executive Officer

Allison is the Chief Executive Officer of Invico Capital Corporation and is a registered Portfolio Manager (PM). She has over 25 years of experience in corporate finance in both the private equity and financial advisory services and is a member of the Alberta Securities Commission Exempt Market Dealer Advisory Committee (EMDAC). Before Pennant, Allison was responsible for executing acquisition and divestiture mandates for mid-market utility transactions. She holds an MBA in Finance from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary.

JASON BROOKS
President

Jason is the President of Invico Capital Corporation and is a registered Portfolio Manager (PM). He has over 25 years of experience specializing in private equity and debt financing in North America and internationally within various sectors. Before Pennant, Jason successfully advised on more than $3 billion of private and public M&A, divestiture, and financing transactions. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) Charterholder and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Beta Gamma Sigma) from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary.

CHRISTI HAYES
Chief Compliance Officer

Christi Hayes is the Chief Compliance Officer of Invico Capital Corporation. She has over 15 years of experience in investment banking and corporate finance. Before Pennant, Christi worked with the corporate finance team at a financial brokerage services firm where she advised on public and private financings, including brokered and non-brokered offerings and grey market trades. Christi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Archeology with a double minor in history and anthropology from the University of Calgary.

NISH JAIN
Institutional Desk Co-Head

Nish Jain is the Co-Head of the Institutional Team at Invico Capital Corporation with a focus on illiquid investments. He has over ten years of experience in financial restructuring and investment management in a variety of industries. Prior to Pennant, Nish served as a senior trader in a commodity trading firm and led his team to achieve the title of Canada’s Top 10 Fastest Growing Companies by Profit Magazine. He is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School and holds a Bachelor of Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.

AJ JAIN
Institutional Desk Co-Head

AJ Jain is the Co-Head of the Institutional Team at Invico Capital Corporation, focusing on illiquid investments, and oversees business development. He has over ten years of experience in rotational positions at some of the nation’s leading investment banks and financial advisory firms. Before Pennant, AJ spent time as an associate at a boutique investment bank, a trader at a rapidly growing commodities firm, and a research analyst at a well-known private banking group. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York.

SHIRLEY WONG
Chief Accounting & Operations Officer

Shirley Wong is the Chief Accounting & Operations Officer of Invico Capital Corporation. She has over 25 years of experience in fund accounting, financial accounting, and qualitative analysis within various industries and is currently responsible for financial and tax planning, cash flow monitoring, fund valuation, financial reporting, and the record-keeping of investor capital accounts. Shirley is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) Charterholder, a Certified General Accountant (CGA), has completed the Canadian Securities Course, and holds a Bachelor of Accounting from Monash University.
